NUCLEAR SECURITY WEEK 1

The first Nuclear Security Week - NSW1 - was held in partnership with the Texas A&M University (TAMU) and counted with more than 60 attendees.
It had technical classes ministered by specialists from TAMU and SNL (Sandia National Laboratoies), and lectures of Brazilian experts from several institutions, like CNEN, Eletronuclear and IPEN.
The event aimed to present a more general vision of the nuclear security area, having talks throughout the week with introductory concepts. On the last day of event, an Insider Threat Table Top Exercise was held for application of all the concepts presented in the week.
After the great success of the week, the INMM UFRJ Student Chapter was created, and working together with UFRJ staff to organize the Nuclear Security Week 2.
