This space is dedicated to inform news, events, workshops, courses, training and everything else that is related to Nuclear Materials Management, as the production, use, storage, transport, handling, protection, accounting and other essential aspects involved the nuclear material management.
The Nuclear Engineering Program (PEN/COPPE) and the Institute of Nuclear Materials Management (INMM) UFRJ Student Chapter will be visited by Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) in partnership with Brazilian-Argentine Agency for Accounting and Control of Nuclear Materials (ABACC).

The Brookhaven National Lab conducts research in the physical, biomedical, and environmental sciences, as well as energy technologies and national security, builds and operates large scientific facilities available to university, industry and government researchers. It is one of the ten national laboratories supervised and funded primarily by the Department of Energy's (DOE) Science Office.

BROOKHAVEN NATIONAL LABORATORY (BNL) DELEGATION VISIT
The Nuclear Ambassadors is a national project aimed at boosting the reach of information on nuclear technology and its benefits in order to educate the public and increase the number of people who understand the benefits of developing the sector in the country.

GOAL
Increase the reach of information on nuclear technology and its benefits in order to educate the public and increase the number of people who understand the benefits of developing the industry in the country.
​
HOW?
Individuals or teams (maximum of 3 people) undertake to carry out actions, which can be of the most diverse (cycle lectures, workshops, videos, games, events, etc.) to teach and inform the public about the benefits of nuclear technology, as well as understand what their main questions and concerns are in relation to the industry, in order to address these issues with each audience.

The teams will be divided into two categories: Undergraduate and Postgraduate.
​
The projects should relate to the OUN's overall objectives for sustainable development, helping to show the public that the use / development of nuclear technology helps achieve those goals.
​
Stakeholders should sign up for the competition and provide a summary of the project to be implemented and this summary will be evaluated by a committee, and if approved, teams will be free to implement the projects.
After project implementation, teams should submit a report of up to 10 pages or video demonstrating the activities performed, the campaign's target audience, and the results obtained.
The reports will be judged by an evaluation bank formed by ABEN's partners with communication experience.
IYNC 2018
The International Youth Nuclear Congress (IYNC) 2018 conference will be organized jointly with the 26th WiN Global Annual Conference on 11 – 17 March 2018 in Bariloche, Argentina.
​
The conference will provide a forum for young professionals and women in the nuclear field to discuss and collaborate on knowledge transfer, nuclear science and technology research and implementation, professional development, and communication. In particular, the conference brings together young professionals that are looking to further their careers and senior leaders that are willing to share their knowledge and expertise with younger generations.

It aims to promote nuclear energy with the general public through a series of active chapters at national, regional and international levels. It has over 35,000 members from 109 countries and over 32 established chapters throughout the world.

WiN Argentina, the local organizer, is a non-profit association and constitutes the national chapter of WiN Global. With the endorsement of the Undersecretary of Nuclear Energy of Argentina, this interdisciplinary organization brings together women working at local institutions and companies of the nuclear sector, mainly on the following areas: Industry, Environment, Human Health, Safety and Security, Research, Social Sciences, Management, and Communication.
